Darbhanga: Bihar Working Journalists Union will intensify efforts to ensure that journalists above sixty years of age get the benefit of Bihar Journalist Pension Scheme. The said decision was taken in a meeting held at the Laxmishwar Library in Lalbagh.
In the meeting held under the chairmanship of the District President of the Union, Amreshwari Charan Sinha, it was agreed to organize the sixth plenary session (district conference) in the month of November as well as to start 24th - 26th membership renewal from the first week of August.
In the meeting, emphasis was also laid on the publication of a Momento, compiling the history of the union, for which Shashi Bhushan Chaudhary was made in charge.
It was also greed in the meeting that a Union representative will be sent to particiate in the meeting of the National Working Committee to be held from 2nd to 4th August 2024 in Panchkula, Haryana.
A unanimous resolution was passed in the meeting demanding the government to issue the policy number along with the list of beneficiaries of the Journalist Insurance Scheme, so that the beneficiaries can get treatment on time and do not have to wait.
Shashi Mohan Bhardwaj, Sanjeev Kumar, Praveen Kumar Chaudhary, Shashi Bhushan Chaudhary, Deepak Kumar Jha, Manoj Kumar, Pramod Nayak Bharti etc. expressed their views in the meeting.
