09.02.2017: In a debate "Traditional Media vs Internet Media" organized at Patna Book Fair, participants expressed their thought about pros and cons of both media medium and how constructive and positive approach from both mediums can ensure maximum participation from common people.
The debated was conducted by Irshadul Haq of Naukarshahi.Com. Sanjay Kumar, Senior Journalist (News Editor, Doordarshan), Santosh Singh (Kashish News) and Irshadul Haq participated in the debate.
Speaking on the occasion, Santosh Singh said that the traditional media is still a controlled and restrictive environment where contents have higher degree of review and scrutiny before getting published whereas social internet media contents are largely uncontrolled. Social media reach to the common people brings the advantage of maximum participation but also the more responsibility on Internet Media to regulate and review the authenticity of the content.
Sanjay Kumar said, that the Internet media has emerged as a revolution and provided a platform for the common people to raise their voices and getting heard. The internet based social media is making the changes and has the potential to connect common people provided the people associated with it contributes in a positive way.
Concluding the debate Irshadul Haq of Naukarshahi.Com said that in present times the media has become more or less a business activity. Internet based media has increased its reach among people but the misuse of such medium has also grown many folds and we need to think about how to make its usage constructive.
