Railway projects neglected, delay in land acquisition for Air service: Kirti Azad

25.02.2018(Darbhanga): Addressing the media in a press conference MP Kirti Azad raised questions on central government budget about neglecting already approved railway projects in Mithila region. He said it is unfortunate that not enough budgetary grants provided to complete several railway projects in the region.

Speaking further he said that the project for doubling railway track between Samashtipur and Darbhanga has been approved in 2015 but there is no money given in current budget. Among others Lohna-Mukhtapur and Laheriasarai-Muzzafarpur project have not found any mention in current budget which is unfortunate.

The city is under immense traffic pressure and it is growing day by day but there is no effort by state government to speed up the process of Land acquisition for proposed six over bridge which will help release traffic pressure.

Questioning the state government intention to delay the air service from Darbhanga he said that the district administration has sent the proposal for required land acquisition of approx 450 Crore atleast one and half month ago but there is no response received yet.

On the DDCA corruption case, he said that I am fighting and raising the issue since 12 years and will continue to raise my voice against any corruption for the benefit of people. He further added that BJP dismissed him from party without giving any reason but he is thankful of people from Darbhanga for their support and will continue to work for their welfare.
