24.12.2016: In a joint training cum briefing session organized at Sri Krishn Memorial Hall, district administrative officials and police officers were briefed on crowd control, emergency management, maintaining Law and Order and other important matters as a large number of visitors are expected to come and attend Prakash Parv.
DM Sri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal said that to make better arrangement and control, the whole area has been divided in 15 zones and will be supervised by Senior District Officers. Separate departments has been formed to look after Lodging, transport, travel, Parking, Drinking water, Public toilets, medical facility, security, helpdesk, electricity, banking, fire safety and Gurudwara arrangements.
He further added that Gandhi Maidan Tent City has been divided in 10 sector and the arrangements will be supervised by 117 district officers to ensure proper facilities for visitors. Similarly Bypass Tent City has been divided into 6 sectors and 59 district officers are deputed to supervise these sectors. Kangan Ghat Tent City has been divided into 5 sectors.
A total of 71 help desks has been formed and workers are being trained to provide information and assistance to the visitors. Free ring bus service has also been announced which will cover Airport, All main railway stations and will run on identified routes.
District administration is also deputed administrative officers and police officers who will 24x7 monitor all the important places through CCTV and Video cameras.
DM Sri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal addressing to the administrative and police officers said that visitors from around the world are expected to come and take part in Prakash Parv and this is very good opportunity for us to ensure positive experience for them.
Chief Secretary, City Development and Housing, Tourism Department, Senior Police officers Sri P.N. Rai, Sri Shalin, Sri Manu Maharaj and Municipal Commissioner Sri Kapil Shirshat addressed the administrative and district officials during todays training cum briefing session.
