DM meeting for implementation of State Govt 7-point agenda


04.11.2014: DM Dr. Chandrasekhar Singh today chaired meeting with district officials for the implementation of "Har ghar nal ka jal" (Drinking water supply to every house) and "Ghar-Ghar tak pakki gali-naliyan" (concrete street and sewage system) under Sri Nitish Kumar's "Seven Nichay" program.

Dighiyar (Kewati), Harhaccha (Baheri) and Narma Nawanagar (Alinagar) pachyat has been announced as open defecation free panchayats. The toilets has been build under state government program "Ghar Ghar Sauchalay" (toilets in every house). These three panchayats has also been chosen for the implementation of state governments other two programs - "Drinking water supply" and "Street and sewage" system, in the first phase.

A ward level committee including people from the panchayts would be formed who would work with district officials for the implementation in their panchayat.

Vivekanand Jha (DDC), Jed Hassan (Director, DRDA), Satrughan Kamti (District Panchayati Raj Officer), Kanhaiya Kumar (DPRO), Block Developments Officers from Kewati, Baheri and Alinagar, Mukhiya Panchayat Harhaccha, Dighiyar and Narma Nawanagar were present in the meeting.
