7 Lac people expected to particiapte in 342 Km long Human Chain in Darbhanga


14.01.2017: In a joint press conference by DM Dr. Chandrasekhar Singh and SSP Meenu Kumari, the details of upcoming Human Chain formation event was shared with media personnel.

All over Bihar in support of Liquor prohibition, symbolic Human Chain formation is being organized on 21st January. State government aims to set the world record of longest human chain formation in support of Liquor prohibition.

In Darbhanga, approximately 7 Lac people are expected to participate on a 342 Km stretch marked by district administration.

To create awareness and encourage people to participate, district administration on one side reaching out to the people using vehicles fitted with Flex boards, Poster and audio messages related to Liquor prohibition and on the other hand has various planned activities district wide to promote the cause.

Activities like Cricket tournament, race, Prabhat Feri, Light procession, Motor Cycle procession and performances by artists in Panchyats are planned through out the district

SSP Meenu Kumari shared details about traffic and other security arrangements in the district.
