Commericial flights from Darbhanga to start from November; Spicejet adds Darbhanga(DBR) to booking website

20.09.2020(Darbhanga): Much awaited dream of people of Mithilanchal for flight services from Darbhanga, seems to become reality in month time, starting November. Signs of this becoming reality also becoming evident as Spicejet booking website has added Darbhanga (DBR) in the list of selectable destinations which was not available until couple of days back. Though the search of Flights starting Nov. to Darbhanga still does not bring any results as of today but hopefully that would also become available by end of September as announced.

According to announcement made by Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri during his visit to Darbhanga on Saturday 12th Sep, the flight booking should start by end of September. The occasion also coincides with most auspicious festival of Bihar, Chhat Puja in which there is a large number of people working outside make journey home to attend the puja.

The minister inspected the work at airport with senior officials of AAI, Gopal Ji Thakur (MP, Darbhanga) and Ashok Yadav (MP, Madhubani) and other officials. He expressed satisfaction on the progress and work done and said that most of the work related to runway, check-in/out facilities are done and rest of it would be completed by end of October.
