Rail overbridge construction to start soon, should ease traffic situation

14.03.2021(Darbhanga): The demand for railway overbridge construction has been raised continuously by the people of Darbhanga though different channels supported by local groups and political representatives. The district is divided into two parts by the train track running across the middle of the city. Chronic traffic jams has becoome part of daily life for the people crossing the tracks for their daily business and have to suffer every day as most of the time railway gates are closed due to trains.

Despite the approval by Railway almost 4 years ago, the construction for ROBs has not been started yet.

District MLA Sanjay Sarawagi has been raising the issue continuously and had also met Railway Minister Piyush Goyal earlier. Replying to his question in Bihar Assembly State Road Construction Minister Nitin Navin said that the necessary approval will be given within 3-months for the construction of seven ROBs in city area and construction work would start soon.
