Darbhanga Police arrests truck robbers, averts major incident

18.02.2017(Darbhanga): Acting swiftly on tip-off that some truck robbers gang are planing to commit crime, SSP Satyaveer Singh formed a team under ASP Dilnawaz Ahmed including Simri SHO Rajan Kumar , Mabbi OP Gautam Kumar and other police man.
Police got success in arresting five notorious criminals of the gang in a raid conducted at Tailiya Pokhar near NH57. Recovered items from arrested criminals included - One Balero car, One country made pistol, 2 cartridge, 2 knives and some drugs from them.
Speaking to the media personals, SSP Satyaveer Singh said that arrested criminals have past crime records and wanted in some of the cases. The gang used to operate in areas like Purnia, Muzzafarpur and Gopalganj and use to rob trucks loaded with goods.
Prompt action and successful operation by Darbhanga police have averted an incident.
