Darbhanga to hold 150 Km long Human Chain to support Liquor Ban and Swacch Abhiyaan


DM Dr. Chandrasekhar Singh met with district officials to review preparation and readiness for the upcoming "Human Chain formation" event which is to be organized state wide on 21st Jan 2017.

In support of Liquor ban and Swacchta Abhiyaan a Human Chain of 150 KM is planned on different roads in Darbhanga District.

As per the information, Human Chain will be formed from NH57 Muzaffarpur border to Madhubani border and Laheriasarai. Other places planned- From Sakri to Kusheshwar asthan and from Darbhanga to Baheri and other routes in the state.

Dr. Chandrasekhar Singh said, that such an event will show unanimous support of people and their participation in such government policies like liquor ban and Swacchta Abhiyaan. He further added that we must do all we can to spread the message so that the importance of participation in such events and benefits of government policies reaches to the people.

Students from 5th till 12th standard from all government and private schools, government officials, private and public institutions and many other people are expected to participate in the event. District officials have also made arrangement to cover the event using drones, Helicopter and satellite imaging.

SSP Satyaveer Singh, District Minority Officer Zed Hussan, DPRO Kanhaiya Kumar and other district officilas were present in the meeting.
