Expansion of Darbhanga Airport gets traction, work started for land acquisition

28.02.2021(Darbhanga): The activities around expansion of Darbhanga Airport seems to gather some steam to cope up with increasing number of passenger and to develop as commercial cargo facility. Since the start of the airport demand for more passenger amenities and services have been raised by different groups.

As per the recent development, the Officials from Airport authority, Delhi visited Darbhanga to inspect proposed lands for expansion and also had meeting with District administration officials. An estimate of 74 Acres of land is proposed to be acquired to meet the expansion plan.

Currently travellers are facing difficulty due to unavailability of vehicle parking and have to walk long way carrying the luggage.

Once expansion is complete, Airport is expected to be used for commercial cargo planes and have better passenger amenities.
