Police must act in interest of public and maintain law and order - DGP

01.09.2019(Darbhanga): In a review meeting with police officers in District Commissionary, DGP Gupteshwar Pandy suggested to fast track the resolution of disputes related to property at Police Station level by involving relevant parties.

He asked police officers to maintain dignity and not getting involved in any kind of corruption or wrong practice. In a clear message he said that strict action would be taken agaist corrupt police officials.

He said, district police together with public associations should plan in advance for upcoming Muharram and Durga puja to ensure any unwarranted situation.

He emphasized that the police must transform itself to become more friendly with general public and at the same time deal strictly with antisocial elements.
