DMCH ready for COVID -19 testing and treatment

05.04.2020(Darbhanga): COVID-19 tests can now be performed locally in Darbhanga Medical College Hospital. As per the information shared during visit of local MLA Sanjay Sarawagi, initial testing capacity is of 36 per day which would be increased subsequently.

The testing facility would bring relief to already overloaded Health Care facilities in the state and would help not only the people of Darbhanga but also Purnia, Supaul,Samastipur, Madhubani and other adjacent districts to get the tests faster without travelling to state capital.

As per the information available, DMCH has also received required supply of medicines as per the guidelines of ICMR and ready to treat the COVID-19 patients..

The DMCH officials raised the concern of shortage of PPE kit for which District MLA assured of quick action to make them available.

Increasing number of COVID-19 patients makes it absolutely critical that health care facilities in state is readied in-time to handle such situation and in this regard the progress made at DMCH brings comfort to the people.
