Police arrest one collecting protection money on behalf of gangster lodged in Jail

Police today laid the trap on complain of protection money demand and arrested Ujjawal Prakash from Laheriasarai Tower Chock with money. As per the information Ujjawal Prakash s/o Late Umesh Prasad resident of R.S.Tank in Bahadurpur police station area was acting on behalf of a gangster Santosh Misra who is already behind bars. Santosh Misra s/o Krishn Kumar Misra resident of village Ramauli in Bahera Police station area has past criminal records and currently in jail since 19 months.

Sashi Ranjan Prasad s/o Govind Ram resident of Usamamath, Pator OP met SDPO Dilnawaz Ahmad and lodged complain about the money demand from Santosh Misra in the name of providing protection and other facilities inside the jail to his father Govind Ram, who was also in the jail in a case by Forest Department.

Police team in plain clothes were deployed at designated place near Laheriasarai tower chock and managed to catch Ujjawal Prakash while taking the money.
