Only Medicine Shops will remain open after 6 PM - DM Darbhanga

28.03.2020(Darbhanga): Darbhanga DM Dr Tyagrajan SM during a meeting emphasized the criticality of social distancing to stop community spread of Coronavirus. Appealing to the people, he said, that everyone must follow the advisory and guidelines issued for social distancing by Government of India. He said that district administration is taking number of steps to ensure the people do not suffer due to lockdown and that they are provided with the essentials.

To support the daily wagers and homeless, the district administration has started community kitchens at different places to provide food and place to stay. Currently MLSM College and Social Welfare departments Rain-Basera are being used for this purpose.

He instructed the officials to ensure that Ration is distributed promptly to each ration card holders. He also appealed to the departmental stores in district to come forward and provide home delivery services to people so that they do not have to come out from home for purchasing daily food items.
