COVID-19 positive cases jumps to five

30.04.2020(Darbhanga): The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Darbhanga district has increased to five. The recent 4-positive cases have been reported after testing the people who came in contact with person who returned from Delhi in ambulance on 22nd of April.

All the patients are currently being treated in isolation ward of DMCH (Darbhanga Medical College Hospital). As per the information, all the patients are asymptomatic and without any visual sign of illness. As a precautionary measure, district administration has sealed area in 3 km radius of residences of patients inorder to control spread of disease.

DM Dr. Tyagrajan SM said that the district administration is taking the measure to control community spread including sanitizing different areas, door-to-door screening etc. He appealed to the people to co-operate with health workers, remain vigilant, and there is no need to panic. District administration is ensuring the delivery of all essentials items to door step.
