Darbhanga administration gears up to complete arrangements for Chhat Puja

21.10.2017(Darbhanga): DM Dr. Chandrasekhar Singh and SSP Satyaveer Singh today reviewed the preparation and readiness at different Ponds across the city for upcoming Chhat Puja.

Expressing unhappiness due to slow progress of cleaning activities at Mirza Khan pond, DM instructed officials to deploy more labour and get the work completed. Inspecting K.M. Tank, Kilaghat and Balughat ponds, he asked officials to install proper barricading and lighting arrangements to ensure safety of the people.

The further asked officials at Gangasagar pond to take strict actions against any kind of illegal encroachment. Speaking to the official he said that safety is of paramount importance and all measures prescribed by Disaster Management Department must be followed and implemented.

Cleanliness at Ponds, Chhat Ghaat construction, Barricading, Lighting, Public announcement facility, availability of trained swimmers were the main topics in today review and inspection done by senior district officials.

District administrative officials Dr. Gajendra Prasad, Dilnawaz Ahmed and many senior officials were present during inspection.
