Kirti Azad raises issue of central government negligence, demands AIIMS in Mithilanchal Area

26.12.2016: Rajya Sabha MP today said that central government is neglecting Mithilanchal area in all its schemes and not serious about its development. While pressing demand for proposed second AIIMS to be situated in Mithilanchal, he added that there is already one AIIMS on the other side of the the Ganga and it is the right of the people of Mithilanchal that second AIIMS should be built here.

Sharing the details he said, that despite the budget approval there is no progress in starting the work for the same. State government is ready to start process of land acquisition but because the place has not been identified and approved by central government it can not move further.

He said, National Highway Commission has also ignored Darbhanga-Kusheshwar Asthan- Ghanshyampur and Dekuli-Sisauni despite our efforts to get these routes identified as Highways. There is also no progress in implementing Aadarsh Gram Yojna or development of Darbhanga as IT centre as announced earlier. He said that he would start protests to press for the development of Mithilanchal area.

He thanked District Magistrate, Darbhanga for making required land available in Taralahi for Kendriye Vidyalaya.
