12.12.2019(Darbhanga): As part of ongoing review and awareness yatra Bihar CM Nitish kumar chaired the review meeting with district official in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar auditorium in Darbhanga.
CM Nitish kumar is on state-wide yatra to review progress and create awareness about Bihar state government's flagship abhiyan "Jan-Jeevan-Hariyali", launched in August this year.
In the meeting with District officials representing Darbhanga, Madhubahi and Samastipur, CM took stock of progress made in the area of Rain Water Harvesting, identification and survey of Water bodies, tree plantation and preserving greenry, creating new water sources and bio-agricultural schemes.
CM directed the concerned officials to take immediate actions on the complaints and issues raised by public representatives at the meeting. He also stated that the officials of Public Grievance Cell should act responsibly to resolve public complaints and that stern action would be taken for negligence.
On the report of high level of Arsenic in water in Darbhnaga's Benipur Area affecting people health, CM directed heath department to immediately send the team to investigate and take appropriate action.
CM asked the Officials and public representatives to create awareness in their areas about "Jan-Jeevan-Hariyali" abhiyan. They were also asked to reach out to the people and create awareness about harm of Drug addiction and social malpractice like Child Marriage and Dowry . He asked them to encourage people to participate in 19 Jan 2019 Manav Srinkhla (Human Chain) to mark their awareness and resolve against Drug use and decade long social malpractice.
