CM Nitish Kumar inagurates 102 new projects, reviews work progress under Saat Nischay program


17.12.2017(Darbhanga): During his first day of "Vikas Karyon ki samikhsa yatra" (Tour to review progress of development work) in Darbhanga, CM chaired a review meeting conducted at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Auditorium with Senior District Officials and representatives of Darbhanga, Samastipur and Madhubani.

During the meeting CM reviewed the status of various ongoing development work and discussed in detail about the ongoing activities, issues and status with the present officials. Under the Bihar Government "Saat Nischay" scheme, the Government aims to provide - Tap Water, Electricity, Toilet and Sewage to every household in the state within next four years.

Addressing the local issues raised by representatives (MLA, Ward Counselors and District Mayer), CM directed officials to take immediate corrective action.

On the second day, CM inspected and inaugurated development works done in Kamalpur Ward-09 under Bhavanipur Panchayat. He also inspected 160 newly built Varmi Compost unit by Agriculture Department.

Later on CM addressed a public gathering at Janta High School, Shivnagar Ghat in Ghanshyampur. CM was presented with traditional Mithila Paag-Chaadar and welcome speech was given by DM Dr. Chandrasekhar Singh. CM also announced new development schemes with a total cost of 340 Crores.

During the event, CM congratulated a 8th class student from Benipur Rinki Kumari for her appreciable protest against child marriage and presented her with an appreciation letter. He also congratulated a newly wed couple for getting married without involving any dowry and setting an example against age old practice.

Speaking about evils of Liquor consumptions, Director General of Police P. K. Thakur appealed people to participate and support government in effectively implementing Liquor ban in the state.

CM spoke about the positive support and renewed optimism in the people of the state and said that some of our schemes are being studied by experts from other states as they are interested to implement.

Thanking to the people of Mithila, he said Mithila has always been an area associated with wisdom and high education and offered his gratitude to the great idiom of Mithila.

The event was concluded by the thank giving address of Darbhanga Additional Collector Md. Mobin Ali Ansari.
