Sarashwati Puja and Ursh - Shanti Samiti meeting

To address the issue of Law and order during upcoming Sarashwati Puja and Ursh, Shanti Samiti meeting was organized today at Laheriasarai Police Station. The events are falling in between 10th Feb and 14th Feb.

During the meeting SHO Jai Prakash Singh noted the details of Sarashwati Puja Committees. City SP Har Kishore Rai interacted with members of both the community and apprised them of process of getting required approval from district administration for organizing such events. He mentioned certain basic guidelines regarding use of DJ-Loudspeaker and timings. He also mentioned that the immersion should be done latest by 14th Feb.

City SP Har Kishore Rai further appealed to members of both community to celebrate the occasion in peaceful manner and also asked them to volunteer and collaborate with district administration to help in maintaining law and order. He asked them be vigilant about the anti-social elements and report any sensitive issue to the police immediately.

City SP Har Kishor Rai, Sadar SDPO Dilnawaz Ahmed, SHO Jai Praksh Sigh were present in the meeting.
