People of Darbhanga city celebrated Ganpati puja at its best. It marks the beginning of hindu festival season in India. People from every section of society come out in the evening and head towards colorful and decorated pandals to offer their prayers. Children accompanied by elders could be seen at the road side toy stalls around Ganpati pandals. Street food like chowmein, pani puri, ice cream, burger are very much in demand among visitors. The decorative lights and bhajan sounds makes the whole ambience so wonderful that one gets into festive mood.
Some of the main places in darbhanga where Ganpati puja celebrated is Madarpur, Beta, Kutubganj, Dighi, Urdu Bazar , Bangla garh, Panda sarai.
Earlier Ganpati puja was mainly celebrated in Maharashtra but now it is celebrated in many cities across India with much enthusiasm.
