A great belief in technology that it would connect the people and would ease the process, Darbhanga SSP Manu Maharaj today launched district police portal www.darbhangapolice.org which aims to provide range of services to the people of Darbhanga and adjoining areas under the jurisdiction.

The launch of the portal not only shows the modern technical mindset of SSP Manu Maharaj but also the strong commitment to provide better services to the people.

Justifying the need of such a portal he said that through mobile based helplines and whatsapp applications are already in use, people somehow restraint in using those as they would not like to disclose their identity and also some privacy concerns.

One one hand the portal can be used for the services like finding information about absconding criminals, stolen vehicles details etc, on the other hand it provides interface for the public to report incident, submit information to the police and interact without disclosing their identity.

On the occasion were also present - City SP Himanshu Shekhar Trivedi, DSP Dilip Kumar Jha, Laheria Sarai Police Station incharge Jay Prakash Singh, Bahadurpur Police Station incharge Dinanath Mandal and from technical team of website - Shankar Jha, Delhi.
