DM Balamurugan D today conducted meeting with the district officials including SP, SDPO, CO and SHOs. He instructed for the action against officials who were absent without prior information and asked to put their day salary on hold.

He said that the implementation of Liquor prohibition which comes in effect from 01 April 2016 is the top priority and asked present officials to take pro-active actions. He further instructed officials to complete the counting of Mahua trees and keep strict vigilance over illegal Liquor manufactures. Making of Gur will not be permitted without prior approval for sugarcane official authority.

On other points he asked officials for fast action against Electric transformer thieves. He also gave clear guidelines against the noise pollution due to illegal DJ and Loudspeaker playing without prior permission. He asked police officials to send weekly report about the action taken to curb noise pollution.

Among other issues discussed and DM wanted action against included - Road encroachment, Review of law and order in wake of upcoming panchayat election.
