District administration today organized event to celebrate 104th Bihar Diwas.
The event was inaugurated by DM Ravi Kumar.
Vidhan Sabha member Dr. Izhar Ahmad and Vidhan Parishad member Mishri Lal Yadav were also present.
Speaking on the event DM mentioned the glorious history of Bihar and its people and asked youth to take inspiration from them.
He further emphasized on necessities of development along with continuation of traditional and social values.
On the occasion DM Ravi Kumar setup an example by actively participating in cleanliness of different offices and campus across city and also encouraging others.
The main event was organized at Nehru Statdium, Laheriasarai, Darbhanga. The event was marked by some very talented and enthusiastic cultural performance. Students from different schools also participated in science exhibition and put up stalls to showcase their models.
Agriculture department also organized event to promote various schemes and facilities for farmers. DM also distributed agricultural loans worth 52 Crore to farmers with the help of participating banks.
Among other things, awards were given for the outstanding performance in sports; School were awarded for cleanliness and clean drinking water. Rajkiye Middle School, Narura, Kewati first place, Middle School,
Mathuraput Kabirchak, Darbhanga got second plance & Rajkiye Middle School, Patniyan, Biraul got third place.
The event was formally marked closed by lighting 104 candle in Commissionery campus by DM Ravi Kumar and other district level officers
